Heritage

The temple complex of Angkor Wat is one of the few remnants of an ancient Khmer Empire that encompassed most of what is now Southeast Asia. Built in twelfth century, Angkor Wat continue to astound the world with its grandeur and architectural features. Detailed carvings and inscriptions trace Cambodia's history and culture- recording the reign of monarchs and the unification of Cambodian kingdom.  Celestial dancers, Apsaras, adorn the columns.  Apsaras are considered to be the essence of Khmer culture and focal point of ancient and modern ballet.
